DON"T BE AFRAID TO WASH YOUR HAIR
Washing your hair helps with your scalp health and will allow your hair to grow. It is distressing to see hair in your hands or in the drain when you wash your hair. These are hairs that are in the non-active phase of the hair cycle and shed normally.
A clean scalp will help in hair growth.
Â
WET YOUR HAIR THOROUGHLY
Â
Before shampooing your scalp, the first step is to wet your hair thoroughly.
Every strand needs to be wet to get a deep clean.
Â
SHAMPOO AMOUNT
Â
Use at least a quarter size amount of shampoo and massage that directly onto your scalp. The type of shampoo you use is based on your scalp health: dry, oily, color treated, and the frequency you wash your hair.
Â
IGNORING AN ITCHY OR GREASY SCALP
Â
When your scalp is itchy or very greasy there can be an accumulation of sebum, products, and buildup leading to an uncomfortable and unhealth scalp.
Â
Step 1: Â Wash more frequently at least 2-3 times a week
Step 2:Â Â Consider a clarifying shampoo once a week to reset your scalp
Step 3: Â Consider a double cleanse with your shampoo
Â
SKIPPING CONDITIONER
Â
Conditioner on dry or color treated hair can help to smooth and seal the hair strands.
After shampooing and rising the hair, remove excess water from your hair before you apply conditioner.  Apply it to the bottom two-thirds of the hair and coat each strand. Never apply conditioner directly to your scalp conditioner or to the roots. Â
